Well done to first year student Finn Looney for winning at the Minor Munster Schools Cross Country Championships yesterday in Cork Institute of Technology. Finn completed the 2500M course in a super time of 8:29.
Roisín Healy a recent past pupil of St. Anne’s has been awarded a prestigious Ad Astra Acadmeny award in a recent ceremony held in UCD.
The UCD Ad Astra Academic programme rewards motivated students who demonstrate high intellectual achievement and want to reach further through undertaking a challenging university programme. Roisín is currently studying Science at UCD.
Badminton: Congratulations to our U14girls, U 16 boys and girls plus our two division 1 girls teams who have all qualified to represent Clare in the Munster Schools Badminton finals in UL on January 29th. A big thanks to their coaches Ms Sarah Devane and Mr John Daly.
Camogie: Our Senior team won the Clare School’s Shield beating St Caimin’s, Shannon in the final. They also reached the Munster Intermediate semi-final. The U16½ team won the Munster A North final beating St Mary’s, Nenagh. Our 1st Year team played in the Tipperary blitz and they were just pipped at the post by Borrisokane, the outright winners of the competition. Well done to coaches Ms Minogue and Ms Moloney.

The exams will begin during the first week of February and run right up to the February midterm break, (Midterm- Monday 16th – Friday 20th February). The exam fee is €50 per student. It will be collected in January. It may be paid in full or by instalments if more convenient for you. Please enclose fee in an envelope, clearly marked “mock exams”, with the pupil’s name, year and the amount included written on the outside and hand it in at the office.
The Kincora Call performed by students of St. Anne’s Community College in Thomond Park. Teachers in the school developed the Irish style Haka with last years transition years, and this year the tradition continues.
Jack Brady, a student of St. Annes has recently been selected for the Irish U19 soccer squad. We wish Jack the best of luck in the upcoming games.
