Quay Arts has more than nine years experience, delivering a range of creative classes and workshops for all age groups, working with professional artists from all disciplines.
We are now offering In-School Oil Painting workshops for Transition Year students. The workshops are delivered by a professional artist and an art coordinator. Students learn pallet-knife technique and learn the basics of using oil paints. The workshop commences with exercises, and all students then work on an individual piece.
Students are introduced to an art medium not normally included in the school curriculum and the workshop is delivered in a relaxed enjoyable way. Participants get immediate results with oil paint due to the quality of colour and flexibility of the oil paint.
Workshops are two hours in duration, delivered in school.
The Transition Year class absolutely were inspired to create some beautiful art works. No matter their artist ability, they were encouraged to use the techniques learned during the class and to be creative in their masterpieces.
