Cook one of the new recipes I have uploaded (go to files and then course material) and follow instructions given.

Wash up and leave your kitchen clean and tidy.

Evaluate your work and your dish (use the template that I have uploaded).

If you wish you can send me a photo of your dish.

Finish reading Chapter 22 Designing a Sustainable Home. Answer the revision questions 1 – 7 page 324 in your text book. In your Skills Book complete all questions pages 173 – 187.

WEEK 1: WEDNESDAY 18TH – FRIDAY 2O TH MARCH

1ST YEARS Complete summary notes for chapter 23 “Designing a Safer Home”.

Sketch mind maps for each of the following types of pollution: water, air and noise pollution.

Complete revision questions 1 to 4 on page 343.

Bake something for your families using the rubbing in skill that you have learned (take a photo of your product if you wish). Enjoy!

2ND  YEARS Complete your craft product and your support folder for your CBA.

Reminder: For your support folder the headings are as follows: Design brief; Analysis of your design brief; Factors to consider; Possible solutions; My choice and Reasons for my choice; Implementation (i.e. how I made my product). Refer to the hand-outs given in class.

5TH YEARS Complete the research on your coursework assignment investigation (low salt diets) using the hand-outs given in class. This is due for submission to me Monday 30th March.
6TH  YEARS Revise answers to questions on your mock exam paper as discussed in class.

Study the short answer questions in Section A on past exam papers (2005 – 2010) using the hand-out given in class.

 

 

WEEK 2:  MONAY 23RD – FRIDAY 27 TH MARCH

1ST YEARS Complete questions in your skills book for chapter 23 “Designing a Safer Home” pageS 189 to 196.

Cook something for your families (perhaps Pasta Carbonara that we made in class or any dish of your choice). Evaluate your dish. Have fun and enjoy!

2ND  YEARS Complete your craft product and your support folder for your CBA.

5TH YEARS 2nd Assignment – Carry out research on the following: the nutritional needs and the meal planning guidelines that should be considered when planning meals for older people (65+). This should be 2 to 3 refill pad pages. Use the notes given from assignment 1, your text book and the web for your research.                  This is due for submission to me Monday 30th March.
6TH  YEARS Revise chapters 17, 18 and 19 Social Studies.

Study the short answer questions in Section A on past exam papers (2011 – 2018) using the hand-out given in class. Test on Section A when we return to school!
